These bowls are made from beautiful Acacia hardwood (a fast-growing wood species), which has been eco-logically forested in the Philippines. Handcrafted by skilled artisans. This acacia wood bowl is hand-turned from one solid piece of hardwood, not laminated. Care Instructions: Acacia is a dense naturally resinous hardwood which by its very nature resists penetration by water and will not stain. It is not necessary to oil the wood, but if some reason it appears to be drying out, simply use a non-toxic mineral oil to restore the wood grain to its original beauty. Care is easy; just handwash with warm soapy water and air dry. Acacia wood (just like any other natural wood bowl) is not dishwasher safe.
