Eden Home started with two moms seeking natural organic products
Eden Home is the creation of two working mothers, Alexandra and Rachael, who share a passion for healthy living without sacrificing style. Alexandra’s son was adopted from Russia and suffers from heavy metals toxicity. Alexandra right away switched to organic food. But then she joined a mother’s group and learned that the chemicals aren’t just in the food we eat; they’re in the clothes we wear and the skin products we use too.
Alexandra diligently sought out natural alternatives, searching for organic baby clothes and natural baby care products. But she was frustrated by having to shop at several different places and Web sites to buy all she needed to run her household and care for her family. She dreamed of one source for all her shopping needs. Meanwhile, Rachael was an advocate of organic foods. Yet when she had a hard time getting pregnant, she began to wonder about the products she was putting on her skin, not just the food going into her body. She started learning about the chemicals in products and processing too. As chance would have it, the two entrepreneurially minded women met and realized they shared dream: a Web site that offered all the natural organic products they wanted, in one place, without having to sacrifice luxury or style. And so Eden Home was born.
Yet Alexandra and Rachael have a mission beyond making natural luxury easy to find and buy. Part of their goal is to raise awareness of the effect of these chemicals and the benefits in choosing natural products like organic baby crib bedding. As Rachael explains, “A lot of people are completely unaware that ADHD and allergies can be linked back to the chemicals we’re exposing our children to just by feeding and dressing them.” That’s why the [resources section] of the Eden Home Web site offers links to information and the Eden@Home newsletter makes learning about natural living and natural luxury simple to do.
By focusing on natural luxury items, Eden Home seeks to benefit the whole family, from the parent who wants to buy organic without giving up beauty to the babies who will be wrapped in all natural, thick and cozy bath towels. As Alexandra says, “We focus on family because that’s who we are, busy working moms who want to do what’s best for our families, without compromising our standards. Eden Home is a reflection of who we are, our values, and what we like.” |
